Andrei Vrajitoarea is a Kadanoff-Rice Postdoctoral Fellow at the James Franck Institute at the University of Chicago. His research focus is on assembling synthetic quantum matter from strongly interacting microwave photons, exploring these many-body systems for fundamental science and practical applications in quantum information. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University under the supervision of Prof. Andrew Houck. Andrei will start as an Assistant Professor of Physics at NYU in January 2024.
