Jacob Watkins is a PhD student and NSF Graduate Research Fellow from Michigan State University, with professional interests in quantum algorithms for quantum simulation. His current work analyzes, in a rigorous fashion, the algorithmic costs and error bounds of digital Hamiltonian simulation techniques. Watkins has also published work on analog quantum simulation, iterative phase estimation, and nuclear physics.
